Couples Work
Love and desire are not the same thing. A relationship needs both. Somatic, experiential coaching for couples in Los Angeles and worldwide.
Most couples know how to run a life together. Calendars, logistics, family, work. What gets harder to find is the charge that brought you together in the first place.
The wanting. The play. The feeling of being chosen again.
I'm Court Vox, a Somatic Sex & Intimacy Coach based in Los Angeles. I work with couples of all orientations and configurations: straight couples, queer couples, married couples, new couples, monogamous and open alike.
Couples coaching is not about deciding who is right. It is about learning, together, how to keep desire and devotion alive in the same relationship.
Some couples come because desire has gone quiet between them and they miss each other. Some love each other completely and have started to feel like roommates. Some have never quite learned to talk about sex without one of them shutting down. Some are navigating a mismatch in desire, a major life transition, or a change in what one partner wants. And some are thriving and simply want more: more play, more depth, more discovery of each other.
Insight is not enough. Couples have to experience each other differently for something to actually change.
Sessions weave together conversation, somatic practice, communication tools, and experiential exercises you do together, in session and between sessions. The work is somatic, trauma informed, and client led. Everything is by choice, for both of you.
We might practice saying what you actually want and staying present while your partner hears it. Receiving without deflecting. Naming a boundary without punishing. Slowing touch down until it becomes communication again. Noticing the moment you leave the room emotionally, and learning what brings you back.
We work with the space between you too. Not just two people, but the relationship itself, the thing you are building together.
Much of my retreat work lives in GBTQ men's community, and couples work is a natural extension of it.
Queer relationships often get handed scripts that were never written for them. Together we get to write better ones: around desire, around agreements, around what devotion looks like when you define it yourselves.
Six days at Sagrada Ranch in San Miguel de Allende, México, to stoke the WE between you. March 28 to April 3, 2027. Limited to a small circle of couples.
Explore WENo. I am a certified coach and somatic sex educator, not a licensed therapist. Some couples work with me alongside a couples therapist, and the two kinds of work complement each other well. Therapy tends to talk about the relationship. This work practices it.
Mostly, yes. Some processes include individual sessions for each partner, because what each of you brings to the relationship shapes what happens between you.
That is common, and it is workable. The first call is a chance for both of you to ask questions and feel out whether this is right. Nobody is dragged into anything here.
Conversation, structured communication practice, somatic and embodiment exercises, and experiential work you do with each other. Everything is explained beforehand, entered by choice, and adjustable at any moment.
Not at all. Some of the most rewarding work happens with couples who are doing well and want to go deeper.
